The peak of the tourist season in Cancun is still a few months away, but the world-class concerts that already took place during the Spring Break in March promise an amazing year ahead. If spring brought this many renowned artists to the main tourist venues of the Yucatan Peninsula, you can be sure that entertainment will be at its very best for the rest of the year as well. Here are a few of the major concerts held this spring break, many of them performed by headliners of one of Cancun’s most prestigious events, the 30-day long Inception – a music festival that gathers an impressive line-up of house and dance music artists each year in spring.
DJ Snake – The City
Latin America’s largest party venue, The City in Cancun’s entertainment center hosted an extraordinary show by DJ Snake at the beginning of March, 2017. The excellent acoustics of the venue and the unique design that lets guests dance anywhere they wish were just perfect for accommodating the electrifying music of DJ Snake. The French DJs electronic and dance tunes got everyone dancing their heart out – the show was a blast, indeed!
Krewella – Oasis
Another extraordinary concert held not in a club, but in Cancun’s Oasis Hotel, Krewella’s performance was extraordinary to say the least. The venue was perfectly suited for the duo’s electronic dance music – the two sisters certainly know how to party and how to make others feel alive as well. The girls played the best of their tunes, and the audience responded with cheering and dancing till exhaustion. It was not only the music that made the show unforgettable – the venue and the services were also impeccable, all contributing to an excellent experience overall.
Lil Jon – Oasis
Johnathan Smith or, as most rap fans know him, Lil Jon, also had an extraordinary show at the Oasis hotel. The bass-heavy tunes and the straightforward lyrics that make Lil Jon popular worked perfectly this time, too – the man certainly knows how to get a crowd moving. The audience was instantly energized by the performer, and energy levels just kept rising till the end of the show.
DVBBS – Oasis
The Grand Oasis in Cancun also hosted an unforgettable DVBBS concert at the end of March. The two Canadian brothers, Chris and Alex, are rated among the world’s top 20 DJs, and they certainly how to make the most of the time spent on stage. This time again, the two brothers played the best of their music and the crowd loved every sound.
BlasterJaxx – Oasis
The Dutch record producer-DJ duo played the finest big-room house, Dutch house and electro house music at the Oasis in March 2017. It was, of course, a full house, a huge, happy, carefree crowd enjoying the great music in a venue to match. The duo played their best tunes and remixes, featuring a variety of styles and rhythms to prove that electronic music is no longer just for entertainment – it is a form of art in its own right.
